2. Impressions and crown design – Next, Dr. Walker will use a handheld 3D scanner to take an impression of your teeth and gums. He will upload this into a computer, then use digital smile design tools to design a crown that looks natural and fits perfectly into your mouth.
3. Crafting your ceramic crown – After he has finalized your design, Dr. Walker will upload it into our 3D CAD/CAM (Computer-Aided Design/Manufacturing) machine. Then, he will place a block of solid ceramic material in the machine and start it up. The machine will carve out your final crown design in just a few minutes.

Final smile restoration – Once your crown is finished, Dr. Walker will bring it back to you in the operating room. He will check the fit to make sure everything is perfect, and make adjustments if necessary. When everything looks perfect, he will permanently attach your crown to dental cement.
