what is invisalign®?
Invisalign® is a modern orthodontic solution that straightens your teeth using a series of clear, removable aligners instead of brackets or wires. Each set of aligners is custom-designed to fit snugly over your teeth and apply gentle, consistent pressure, gradually guiding them into proper alignment.
Over time, as you switch to new aligners, Invisalign® corrects crooked, crowded, or uneven teeth. It can even address bite issues such as overbites, underbites, and crossbites for a balanced, confident smile.
The invisalign® process
We start with a consultation to perform an oral exam, take X-rays, and confirm you’re a good candidate for Invisalign®. Most patients qualify, though severe orthodontic cases may require alternative options.
Once approved, we’ll take detailed digital scans of your teeth. These are used to map out your entire treatment plan with Invisalign®, including every step of your smile transformation.
When your first sets arrive, you’ll begin wearing them 20–22 hours per day, only removing them to eat, drink, and brush. Consistent wear helps keep your progress on track.
You’ll switch to a new set of aligners every 1–2 weeks and visit us every 6–8 weeks for progress checks. During these visits, Dr. Walker will ensure your treatment is on track and provide your next sets of aligners.
Most Invisalign® treatments take about 12–18 months. Once complete, we’ll fit you for a custom retainer to maintain your results, so your new smile stays beautifully aligned for years to come.
