Total Smile Transformation With Veneers

Cover Up Stains, Chips, Uneven Teeth, And More

If you’re not happy with your smile in Charleston, Dr. Douglas Walker and the dental team at Dental Wellness are here to help. We offer both porcelain and composite veneers to cover up flaws in your smile, transform your teeth, and boost your confidence.

What Are Veneers And What Can They Treat?

Veneers are made from a very thin layer of tooth-colored material that’s attached to the front surfaces of your teeth. They are designed to look and feel just like natural teeth, and to cover up flaws in your smile. They can be used to treat a wide variety of cosmetic flaws, including:

  • Worn-down teeth
  • Chipped teeth
  • Uneven teeth
  • Small or misshapen teeth
  • Slightly crooked or crowded teeth
  • Gaps between teeth
  • Stained, yellowed, and discolored teeth

If you recognize one or more of the above issues and you have a healthy mouth, you may be a great candidate for veneers. To learn more and explore your options for transforming your teeth, book a cosmetic consultation at Dental Wellness today.

The Benefits Of Veneers

At Dental Wellness, we offer both composite and porcelain veneers. Composite veneers are a more affordable option, but they don’t last quite as long as porcelain veneers. But no matter which type you choose, there are lots of reasons to choose veneers at our office:

  • Fast results – It usually takes two appointments over a period of several weeks to get veneers. In total, it only takes a couple of hours in the dentist’s chair to completely transform your smile!
  • Lifelike appearance – At Dental Wellness, Dr. Walker and our team specialize in digital smile design. This allows us to preview your smile and ensure you’re happy with your veneers before they're made. The result? A lifelike, beautiful smile that’s exactly what you expected.
  • Simple care – Veneers require minimal special care. You can treat them just like natural teeth! Make sure you brush twice a day, floss once daily, and don’t forget about seeing your dentist at Dental Wellness for a checkup every six months!
  • Enhance your confidence – Above all else, getting veneers helps you feel better about your appearance and allows you to smile proudly once again. You’ll never have to hide your teeth in photos, cover your mouth when you smile, or feel anxious about other people judging your teeth!

What To Expect From The Veneers Process

Cosmetic consultation

Before you can get veneers, you’ll meet with your dentist at Dental Wellness for a cosmetic consultation. Your dentist will perform an oral exam to make sure you’re a good candidate for veneers. They will also discuss all of your cosmetic options with you to ensure that veneers are right for your needs, preferences, and budget.

Tooth preparation and veneer fitting

At your next visit, your dentist will clean your mouth and then prepare your teeth for veneers. This involves removing a very thin layer of enamel from each tooth that’s getting a veneer. This must be done to make sure your new teeth fit perfectly into your mouth. Once your teeth have been prepared, your dentist will take a 3D scan of your teeth. They will place a set of temporary veneers on your teeth to protect them until your permanent veneers are finished.

Crafting your new smile

Using your 3D scan, your dentist will work with you to design your dream smile. You’re in control of every aspect of the smile design process including color, shape, placement, and more. Once your new smile looks perfect, we’ll send it to our partner dental lab. This is where your final set of veneers will be made.

Final veneer placement

Once your final set of veneers arrives at Dental Wellness, you’ll come in for your final visit. Your dentist will remove your temporary veneers, and then check your new veneers to make sure the fit is perfect. Then, they will bond each veneer into place permanently with powerful dental cement. Finally, your dentist will polish your new teeth to make sure they look absolutely perfect. Then, you’ll be sent home to enjoy your brand-new smile!
